Mission Statement
In this blog, I will be studying the effects of extinction of certain wildlife species on humans currently and even on future generations to come. I will also be examining the causes of extinction on these endangered species. The main purpose of this blog is to raise awareness of extinction and how it can affect humans. This blog will also aim at trying to reduce the rate of extinction not only at a local basis but at a national or even global basis. This blog will aim to show people what simple things they can do to help reduce extinction of wildlife species.

What can we do to stop it?

The United Nations Environment Programme (Unep) report is officially published on Wednesday. It identifies more than 11,000 endangered animal and plant species- inclusing more than 1,000 mammals, nearly a quarter of the world's total.
One in eight bird species is also in danger of extinction and more than 5000 different types of plants.

                           All gone

 All bred today,
 Hunted and slaughtered by tomorrow
   All gone day-after...

~~ Rehan D'Mello

The contrast with the article and the poem is that both of them communicate the same message that if we, humans, continue to exploit animals like we do today in a short prior of time they will all be extinct. Although the poem is short it communicates a lot of meaning through it and also gives the reader a lot to think about.
